Icon Issue

If you are using 64 Bit windows, I think I may know the answer is. But in general you need to ensure the icon is associated with the link in the Windows menu. So

  1. Go to the RecordEditor entry in the windows Start menu

  2. Right Click on the Full Editor entry and select properties

The icon should be present (blue circle)

  3. Click on the Change Icon button (circled in red above) and you may get the following screen (if you do click on OK).

  4. Next you get to choose the location of the icon

While you could enter icon location here (for windows 7 - 64 bit it is probably C:\Program Files (x86)\RecordEdit\MSaccess\lib\RecordEdit.ico for the MsAccess version) it would be better to click on the browse button.

  5. Select the icon, you can find it in the <RecordEditor Install Directory>/lib directory

    OS / VersionLocation
    Windows 7 64 Bit / RecordEditor-MsAccessC:\Program Files (x86)\RecordEdit\MSaccess\lib\RecordEdit.ico
    Other Windows / RecordEditor-MsAccessC:\Program Files\RecordEdit\MSaccess\lib\RecordEdit.ico
    Windows 7 64 Bit / RecordEditor-HSQLC:\Program Files (x86)\HSQL\MSaccess\lib\RecordEdit.ico
    Other Windows / RecordEditor-HSQLC:\Program Files\RecordEdit\HSQL\lib\RecordEdit.ico

  6. Select the icon (RecordEdit.ico) from the list
